FAQ

Who is this clinic for?

Our clinics are designed for independent kiters who want to take their riding to the next level. Whether you want to boost higher, finally land that loop, or add style and flow to your tricks, we’ve got you covered. As long as you can ride upwind confidently, you’re ready.

Who is this clinic NOT for?

If you’re still working on staying upwind or not yet an independent rider, this clinic isn’t for you — yet. But we can connect you with excellent local kite schools to get you ready for the next one. If you’re an advanced freestyle rider already consistently landing boogies, late backroll loops, and rotations, this clinic might not provide the technical progression you’re looking for. Reach out and we’ll talk.

Is it possible to do remote work during the clinic?

Yes! We’re all responsible adults — we totally get it. If work duties call while you’re in paradise, you’re free to opt out of any activity. Our pousada has reliable Wi-Fi, and we’ll do everything we can to support your work schedule while still making sure you get the most out of your time with us.

Is food included?

Daily breakfast is included at the pousada, along with unlimited açaí (yes, we’re serious). For lunch and dinner, there are amazing local spots nearby — from beachfront burgers to fresh seafood and vegan options. We’ll show you our favorite places.

Do I need a wetsuit? What’s the water temperature like?

No wetsuit needed — seriously.

From August to January, expect:

  • Air temps: 27–32°C (80–90°F)

  • Water temps: 26–28°C (78–82°F)

You’ll be kiting in boardshorts or a bikini. A rashguard is great for sun protection, but you can leave the neoprene at home.

Is there anything to do besides kiting?

Absolutely. Preá is peaceful, scenic, and close to Jericoacoara, which has restaurants, nightlife, sand dune hikes, and more. You can:

  • Visit Jeri by buggy
  • Book extra massages
  • Chill with a coconut by the beach

What kite sizes should I bring?

If you decide bringing your own gear then we’d recommend:

  • 7m and/or 8m kites for riders between 70kg-80kg

  • 9m for riders above 85kg.

We’ll give specific gear advice before you come.
We also have demo gear available if you’d like to test the best.

What should I pack?

  • Harness and Impact vest
  • Sunscreen + zinc
  • Boardshorts

  • Sunglasses

  • Water bottle

  • Sandals + light clothing

  • USB stick or external drive (if you want raw video files)

  • Chargers/adapters
We’ll send you a full checklist when you book!

Is travel insurance required?

Yes. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers both medical emergencies and kiteboarding-specific injuries. It’s rare anything goes wrong, but it’s better to be safe and stress-free.

Do I need a visa to enter Brazil?

    ● U.S. Citizens: Yes, starting again in 2025, you’ll need an eVisa. It’s a quick online process: https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/.

While the average processing time for an eVisa application is typically 5 working days, we recommend applying 30 days before your flight.

    ● EU Citizens: No visa required for stays under 90 days.

    ● Other Nationalities: Check with your local embassy or consulate for current entry requirements.

    What’s the internet connection like?

Strong and stable. Our accommodation features high-speed Wi-Fi, perfect for remote workers, uploading content, or hopping on calls. You’ll have the flexibility to balance work and kite life.

How many people are in each clinic?

We keep things intimate — maximum of 6 people/clinic — so everyone gets plenty of coaching attention and time on the water. We’re all about quality over quantity.
